Ming-3.0-tts-0.5B: Local Speech Setup and Cost
Ming-3.0-tts-0.5B is inclusionAI’s MIT-licensed, dense 0.5B speech model. It supports Chinese, English, German, Spanish, French, Korean and Japanese, with voice cloning and delivery controls. The release bundles multiple speech components; parameter count alone does not size a working rig.

Use this model
Official model repository
- Download the Ming TTS checkpoint
Model card, downloads and license conditions.
Local tools and guides
- Official Ming TTS installation and examples
Follow the tool’s installation and hardware requirements.
Use cases
- Generate a short speech sample in your target language.
- Evaluate voice and delivery on a fixed script.
- Budget a local or rented GPU batch using your measurements.
Use the official inference repository
The checkpoint repository requires the Ming-3.0-tts inference code. Follow its installation instructions, download the complete checkpoint and run its preflight check before synthesis. The model card’s H800-80GB and H20-96G CUDA 12.4 machines are test configurations, not minimum hardware requirements.
Measure the complete run before estimating a batch
Local speed and peak VRAM remain unmeasured here. Select Ming in the shared speech calculator, enter the exact runtime and precision, then supply elapsed generation minutes per output minute and complete-rig memory peaks. Leave those fields blank until tested.
For rented GPUs, add generation time and reserved idle time, then multiply that total by the number of GPUs and your USD/GPU-hour rate. For example, an assumed two-hour billed session on one GPU at $0.50/GPU-hour costs $1. This example uses assumed inputs, not a Ming throughput measurement. Owned hardware uses whole-system electricity and optional depreciation instead.
Before you use it
- No verified hosted API tariff or portable GPU speed preset is supplied.
How to get started
Generate a representative sample with the official runtime, record elapsed time and memory, then enter those measurements in the shared calculator.
